Tucson Dragway hosted their first Street Rally of 2021 last weekend. The Street Rally is an event that was created to cater to the street crowd, race cars are welcome but not our priority for the night! The track will be prepped and ready for, grudge racing, call outs, time runs and fun side by side racing action!
The Army will celebrate their 246th Birthday this week on June 14th. What better way to celebrate a birthday than with a Track Takeover?! Tucson Dragway hosted the takeover of soldiers from Fort Huachuca and enjoyed celebrating and honoring the courage of the American Solider. The Tucson Dragway Track Team and Soldiers started the Event with the Color Guard presenting the Colors during the signing of our National Anthem. Tucson Dragway teamed up with National Auto Collision Centers and Southwest Graphics to host Ride and Drive Experiences for Soldiers from U.S. Army Fort Huachuca Soldiers were given then opportunity to take race two Army Camaros, were taught how the Starting Line works and got to Start Races!
NHRA released their brand new Speed For All Gunmetal Black Wally’s and Tucson Dragway hosted to Classes during the Street Rally! Alan Walcott won in Power Adder Daily Driver & Tom Wedic won in Naturally Aspirated Daily Driver!
92.9 The Bull and Evening DJ Chris O’Gorman hung out, raced a car down the track for the first time and spent time with racers, fans and soldiers.
Hemi Under Glass Driver Mike Mantel and The Redeemer Fuel Altered Driver both brought their cars out to put on display for people to sit in and check out.
